Dragon Ball Super will resume. Even if no specific date has yet been made official, fans can rejoice since the wait seems almost over. But Dragon Ball is not limited to Dragon Ball Super. And lately, lovers of Akira Toriyama's universe have no shortage of choices. Dragon Ball Daima, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, the new releases are coming one after the other. And on the from Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2, new content is coming, bringing with it a new form for Jiren.
A new form for Jiren
The main antagonist of the Universe Survival Saga, Jiren is none other than the strongest warrior in Universe 11. A mortal stronger than the God of Destruction, in this case Vermoud, the God of Destruction of Universe 11, Jiren has always focused on gaining strength. Strength leads to justice, an idea that allowed him to compete with the most powerful creatures in the Dragon Ball universe. And for a mortal, that is saying something.
It's during the Dragon Ball Super Tournament of Power that Jiren reveals a glimpse of his skills. His confrontation with Goku allowed the Saiyan to unlock the Ultra Instinct form, a part of history that deserves to be set in stone. But Goku is not the only Dragon Ball being to acquire new forms. And this time, it is Jiren's turn to be the lucky one. While the Dragon Ball Super character has yet to make a comeback, Jiren will get a new form in the upcoming Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC.
In this DLC, called “Future Saga Chapter 2“, Jiren reaches a new level of power thanks to the infamous Fuu. A power that players of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, since characters like Broly, Goku Black and Vegeta have already obtained similar transformations. But with this power, Jiren could become the most powerful being in all the universes. In this chapter 2, Jiren will face three Gods of Destruction, namely Beerus, Belmod and Chompa, as well as a God of Destruction in training: Toppo.
A member of the Pride Troopers will even lend them a hand, a certain Dyspo. It remains to be seen whether this all-powerful Jiren will be able to stand up to these five particularly powerful beings. But with this new form, it seems that anything is possible. In any case, it's nice to see Jiren return to the forefront. Jiren hasn't had the opportunity to shine in Dragon Ball Super since the arc dedicated to the Tournament of Power, when the following arcs focused on Universe 7, and therefore without him. Same story with Dragon Ball Daima, an anime in which Jiren should logically not appear.
