Medivnyk is a pie of Ukrainian and European cuisine, which is prepared with the addition of honey. Spices, nuts, and raisins are usually added to Ukrainian honey. Buckwheat honey is used for a more characteristic taste.

Ukrainian confectioner and chef Liza Glinska decided to prepare a popular dessert according to her own recipe. She shared the details on Instagram.

Preparing this dessert will not take you much time, but everyone will definitely like it.

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • 100 g of eggs
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 100 g of buckwheat honey
  • 80 ml of vegetable oil
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 200 g of flour
  • 8 g baking powder
  • 5 g baking soda
  • vanilla sugar or cinnamon (optional)

Sour cream:

  • 450 g sour cream (30% fat content)
  • 200 ml cream (30-35% fat content)
  • 100 g powdered sugar

Method of preparation:

1. Mix eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar with a whisk.

2. Heat honey, oil and milk. Mix flour with baking powder and soda.

3. Add eggs with sugar and heat the ingredients. Mix until a uniform consistency.

4. Pour the dough onto a baking sheet with parchment, bake in an oven heated to 180 ° C (with convection) for 10-12 minutes.

5. Let the biscuit cool completely. Cut out a circle d 18 cm. Cut the remaining biscuit into 1.5×1.5 cm cubes. Leave a little biscuit for crumbs.

6. To prepare the cream, mix all the ingredients and beat them with a mixer.

7. Grease the sponge circle with cream. Add biscuit to the main mass of cream, mix.

8. Put it on a biscuit circle and collect the cake with a slide.

9. Fry the nuts in a pan. Cool.

10. We grind the remains of biscuit and nuts. Decorate the cake. We put the cake in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
