Samsung showed its new smartphone

Samsung revealed the full device specifications of the new Galaxy A16 smartphone in versions with 4G and 5G support.

It has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels ), refresh rate 90 Hz, peak brightness 800 nits. The model is also the first in the series with an IP54 rating, which means protection against splashes and dust. The thickness of the device has been reduced to 7.9 mm.

The 4G-enabled model is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, while the 5G variant in Europe will be powered by an Exynos 1330 processor. In other regions, such as India and Thailand, the The 5G may get the Dimensity 6300 chip. Both versions will come with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage.

The Galaxy A16 will feature a 50MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide camera, and a macro lens by 2 MP The front camera will have a resolution of 13 MP. The device should be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging.

The Galaxy A16 series will receive 6 years of software support, including operating system updates and security patches. The exact release date is not yet known, but it is assumed that the device could be launched in December 2024.
