The artist also noted that the film won at Cannes on the day of the presentation of the video for the mystical ancient folk song from the city of Akmesjit (Simferopol). ARAFAT DAĞINDAN”.

I remember how during one of the rehearsals, when I was singing ARAFAT DAĞINDAN, Beth came in and asked: “What happened here now, I was speechless and it seems to me that I ended up somewhere on another planet, I was taken somewhere far away.” This frame was preserved even in the film. And it is so symbolic that on the very day of the presentation of the video for this song in Kyiv, the film “Jamala: Songs of Freedom” wins at Cannes, the singer writes.
