Harry Potter: Tom Felton reveals Draco Malfoy if he had lived with his father's love

All Harry Potter fans know Tom Felton, the essential interpreter of Draco Malfoy in the eight films adapted from the literary saga by J.K. Rowling. The Slytherin student is the enemy of the young wizard with round glasses and is jealous of him because of his fame and his talent for Quidditch. In a recent publication on Instagram, the British actor shared an unpublished photo of his character that offers us a different Draco Malfoy, far from what the public knows in books and feature films.

Draco Malfoy, a character with a complex personality

Draco Malfoy, played on screen by British actor Tom Felton, is Harry Potter's rival. This young 11-year-old boy is arrogant. The rich Slytherin student adheres to the ideology of the Death Eaters. Pretentious, he does not hesitate to openly mock anyone who does not share his opinion and he is more than convinced that Pure-Blood wizards are superior. In addition, he admires his father, Lucius Malfoy and as his family instilled in him, he despises above all people of Half-Blood, descendants of Muggles or all those who do not have magical powers.

If at the very beginning of the story we can see that Draco Malfoy has a great admiration for his father, over the course of the novels, his personality becomes more and more complex. The young boy seems torn. His father Lucius has always scared him to the point that his father is his Boggart. Moreover, deep down, as J.K. Rowling had specified on the Pottermore site, Draco has never been naturally evil. He must juggle between submission to his family and his jealousy towards Harry Potter.

If Draco had been raised in love and kindness

Now, imagine for a moment that Drago had not lived in this family environment. That the young boy who is part of the Slytherin house at Hogwarts was raised in the love and kindness of his father. The psychology of his character would have been radically different and this is what his interpreter has just shared with us on his Instagram account. Indeed, in the photo we can discover Draco Malfoy with a smile on his face. He seems happy which contrasts enormously with the Drago represented in in movies.

Although he was able to enjoy wealth of his family, Drago has suffered in silence, finding little love in a home where the Death Eater philosophy dominated and could not count on his father's affection. Finally, at the end of the saga, Draco moves away from his father's ideology and raises his son Scorpius to respect others. If Lucius had done the same, he would certainly have befriended ; with Harry, Ron and Hermione.
