Currently, one of the main projects of “Ukrainian armored vehicles” is the “Novator” armored vehicle. Back in July, it became known that fighters of the National Guard have already received the first batch of upgraded armored vehicles “Novator-2”, equipped with electronic warfare systems. The director of the company, Vladyslav Belbas, announced this in an exclusive interview with Focus.

We presented “Novator-2” last year at an exhibition in Poland. We presented this machine somewhere in November, at the end of November we passed its tests and by May we were a little “chewed” by the bureaucratic machine, we went through the process of admission to operation, the paper process, because physically the car had already been tested by the end of November, but the production on armament, admission to operation, codification required a long time. But we are already supplying this machine,” he said.

Also, Belbas stated that the EB equipment is not the development of “UB”, but the requirement of the National Guard that they need the machines to be protected not only by armor, but also by radio-electronic means.

“We collected all possible available products from the market, conducted a selection and chose the company “Quertus” for the supply of EW equipment with subsequent installation on our armored vehicles, that is, we integrated the equipment,” — explained the director of “Ukrainian armored vehicles”.

He added that the released vehicle will be on the battlefield within a week, so there is an opportunity to get quick feedback and finalize the development. Also, “UB” can provide quick service, because there are many field brigades in the state, which are ready to quickly respond to all requests of our military.

The director of “Ukrainian armored vehicles” also announced the company's further work on models of modern armored vehicles.

We currently have a line of ground unmanned complex, there is a pickup truck “Saigak”, “Novator”, “Novator-2″, ” Varta-2″. We already have a serious line, and I think that it will not be “Novator-3”, but a Novator with a different payload. For example, the “Khaimars” in Ukraine were supplemented with the “Shark” complex. Such product integration solutions have to be the next stage of development of our models and our production”, — he explained.
