Despite many dialogues in Japanese, the series was favorite to leave with the trophy for best drama and that's what happened this Sunday evening. The show led by Hiroyuki Sanada thus becomes the first non-English-speaking series to win this award. His lead actor won the Emmy Award for Best Actor and said that “it was a dream project where East meets West.” The FX show didn't stop there as in total, he walked away with 18 awards.
