In Ukraine, a new ground robot “Snake” was tested: where will it be used

A new ground robot

The Ukrainian demining machine “Snake” successfully passed a set of tests. Now it has a certificate of conformity.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine  with reference to  the Ministry of Economy.

As Deputy Minister of Economy Ihor Bezkaravainy said, it is about a “unique solution in Ukrainian conditions “.

Manufacturers position the “Snake” as a light and fast machine that can withstand the detonation of an anti-tank mine. It can be used both for cleaning from fragmentation and high-explosive munitions.

However, this robot has the advantage that it is possible to quickly replace components that were damaged during detonation. Also, the robot has a fairly low production price.

Depending on the configuration, the price of the “Snake” is 14.5-20 thousand dollars. And during serial production, the price can drop even lower.

The weight of the work is about a ton, and the width is 1.35 meters. This robot can demine up to 2.5 hectares per hour. And the operator can be at a distance of up to 2.9 km from it.

Weapons production in Ukraine

Let us remind you that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine began to actively increase the production of its own weapons. And the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, showed Ukrainian-made weapons, as well as the results of their combat use.

We should also note that the Ministry of Strategic Industries and Industry stated that Ukraine can produce more than 3 million drones in a year.
