Ukraine launches the full cycle of online marriage through the Diya application, including application, ceremony and receipt of an electronic certificate. The process will last about 30 minutes.

This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov in the Telegram channel.

< p>Ukrainians are now able to conduct a full wedding cycle online through the Diya application. This is especially true during martial law, when many couples live far apart.

Only in Ukraine you can go through the full cycle of marriage – from submitting an application, marriage online to a certificate in the application. You no longer need to go anywhere, collect documents, put them in a file to become husband and wife. From now on, it's just a few clicks in Diya, Fedorov wrote.

The official pointed out that thanks to online marriage, military personnel and couples who are far from each other will be able to get married despite the circumstances, the distance between cities or even countries.

Join the digital ceremony with a registrar wherever you want. Decide whether you want to change your last name, keep your own or take a double one, simply in the application. The entire marriage process will last about 30 minutes, the certificate will immediately appear in Diya, the paper version will arrive by mail, Fedorov said. without queues, coupons and registration at the registrar at 7 in the morning, and today Ukraine sets the trend in digitalization for the whole world”.

Ministry of Statistics explained how to use the service:

1. Update “Action” and go to “Services” – “Online Marriage”.

2. Choose “Make a proposal” and send a notification to your partner on a convenient messenger.

3. The loved one will receive it and must respond within 14 days.

4. Once approved, submit your application details within 12 hours.

5. The system will offer free dates – the closest for the ceremony will be in 5 days.

Also in “Action” you can determine what to do with the surname after the wedding: keep your own, take your partner's surname or double it.

Already on the day of the wedding, go to the online ceremony by following the link in “Actions”, where an employee of the Digital DRATSS will be waiting for you. The marriage process lasts up to 30 minutes.

The digital marriage registration certificate will be automatically uploaded to “Action” within a day. And you can order the physical document by Ukrposhta delivery or pick it up at the branch. Technically, the process is provided by the Webex video communication platform from the American Cisco corporation.

Get married in Diya if you:

  • are an adult citizen of Ukraine;
  • have a verified tax number ;
  • you have an ID card or a foreign passport in Diya;
  • you are not in another marriage;
  • if you are divorced, there is data about this in the DRATS register.< /li>

Suddenly changed your mind – you can cancel the marriage application through Diya. And submit it again at any time.
