Czech developers have introduced a new NATO-standard PZD Mk24 light machine gun

The Czech company DSS has introduced a new light model of the PZD Mk24 light machine gun. The weapon is a lightweight version — the developers have reduced the weight by 30% compared to other models in the category. Thanks to this innovation, machine gunners can carry more ammunition or other important equipment, while maintaining accuracy and effectiveness in combat, reports Army Inform.

Czech developers have introduced a new NATO-standard PZD Mk24 light machine gun

The PZD Mk24 uses the standard NATO caliber 5.56×45 mm, has a quick-change barrel and the ability to select a fire mode, which allows you to fire both single shots and bursts. The design of the machine gun ensures minimal recoil, and the effective firing range is 600 meters with a maximum range of up to 1,200 meters.

Important features of the machine gun are its four-position gas regulator and integrated folding sights. The free-floating Picatinny rail system allows for the installation of accessories such as optics, ensuring stability and accuracy even during prolonged combat.

DSS has already established itself on the market with the PZD 556 model, which is used by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The new PZD Mk24 machine gun is an improvement in the series, focused on modern combat conditions, combining lightness, maneuverability and performance.

This machine gun is designed to compete with other innovative weapons, such as the FN Evolys from the Belgian company FN Herstal. By introducing the PZD Mk24, DSS continues to demonstrate its commitment to developing highly effective weapons for military missions.
