AI showed what Chernobyl could have been like without the nuclear power plant disaster

Artificial intelligence (AI) showed how the city of Chernobyl in the Kyiv region would look without the 1986 nuclear power plant disaster. In particular, the generated images show that the settlement could look like a real metropolis.

What would Chernobyl look like without a nuclear power plant disaster

The first image shows a green city with lots of entertainment. In particular, the famous Chernobyl Ferris wheel and nostalgic carousels. But there are almost no people there.

In the second picture, the city has a more attractive look — it has safe roads, a large population and many cars, which could indicate the high standard of living of the residents of Chernobyl.

The third image shows an even greater appeal to people's lives — Chernobyl looks very green. There were fewer roads, instead more plantations and pedestrian zones appeared.
