15 years in prison for treason – appeal leaves Russian whistleblower's sentence unchanged

Prosecutors of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office defended in the appellate court the sentence for a local resident – 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for state treason during the war (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

It was proven that the man was recruited by the leader of the pro-Russian organization «SERB» to collect information about the locations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' military and equipment. He transmitted the collected data to Russian intelligence services via messenger, adding photos, videos and map markers.

The traitor will remain in custody until the final verdict comes into effect.
