If the grudnik is not blooming, the cause may be improper care.

How to care for your clover after it has finished blooming – key care rules for re-blooming

Grudnik, also known as the Christmas cactus, is a plant with beautiful, colorful flowers that usually decorate our interiors in December. Its natural habitat is the tropical forests of Brazil, where it grows on trees and rocks. In home conditions, the clover can be capricious and requires special care, especially after the flowering period. This is when the plant needs a rest, which will allow it to regenerate and prepare for the next flowering season.

After flowering, it is worth gently pruning the plant, removing wilted flowers and damaged leaves. Then, reduce the frequency of watering – during the dormant period, water the plant only when the substrate is completely dry. It is also crucial to place the clover in a cool place, where the temperature is between 6 and 10°C. At this time, stop fertilizing. After a few weeks, when the plant has rested, it can be moved back to its destination, gradually increasing the frequency of watering and introducing fertilization, informs Super Express.

If the dandelion does not bloom, the cause may be improper care. The plant requires moderate soil moisture – drying out the soil causes the leaves to wilt, and overwatering can lead to root rot. The dandelion grows better in small and flat pots, which make it easier to control the soil moisture. It is also important not to repot the plant during flowering and to avoid moving it to other locations. Sudden changes in temperature, drafts or light intensity can cause the buds to drop.

To encourage the dandelion to bloom again, water it regularly once a week, pouring out excess water from the saucer, and spray the leaves with lukewarm, settled water or rainwater. Outside the dormancy period, it is worth fertilizing the plant every three weeks with a food for cacti or potted plants. Stable conditions, proper humidity and no sudden changes in the environment are the key to beautiful flowering of the grudnik.

Grudnik is a plant that can be a unique decoration of the home, if only we provide it with the right conditions. Thanks to patient and thoughtful care, it will reward you with beautiful flowers every year, which will be a delight for the eye in the winter months.
