Banks are blocking customers from accessing their money. For what reason?
According to the “Biznes Info” portal, customers of one of the banks have begun to complain about problems with accessing their funds. According to information provided by the branch, the problems are not caused by a failure at all, but by legal regulations. All customers should remember this.
Customers have problems accessing their money
Customers of Credit Agricole bank have recently complained about difficult access to their own money. It turned out that the problem was with people who had not updated their data. Unfortunately, even when customers updated, they were unable to use their own money for another 48 hours.
The bank claims that the fault for the situation does not lie with them, but is the result of the regulations in force in our country and the ignorance of bank account holders. Credit Agricole emphasizes that in order to comply with the applicable law, they must require customers to update their data on time.
Placówka refers to the provisions of the Act on Counteracting Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing of 2018, which oblige them to collect information about customers and ensure that it is as up-to-date as possible.
Bank has the right to block transactions
Credit Agricole, in a response sent to the “Bankier” service, emphasizes that customers who do not update on time block employees from fulfilling the obligations imposed on them by Polish law obligations.
Institution representatives emphasize that in similar cases the law obliges bankers to block the client from carrying out transactions. Every bank has this right, so remember to update your data on time.
