Drug traffickers who received cannabis from America in coffee packages were detained

The National Police detained members of a drug gang that established a cannabis supply channel from the United States and distributed drugs in Ukraine.

According to the National Police, the dealers received parcels from America with coffee, cookies, groceries, etc. in the names of controlled persons. One box of food could contain from 3 to 5 kg of drugs.

Cannabis was sold through an extensive network of wholesale and retail drug shops in Telegram throughout Ukraine. Money for the «goods» was received on electronic wallets and withdrawn in cash.

As a result of a special operation in Kyiv and Kremenchuk, law enforcement officers detained eight suspects — they have already been informed of suspicions and taken preventive measures.

Also seized drugs worth 9,000,000 hryvnias and cash in various currencies worth over 29.4 million hryvnias.
