OnePlus is preparing to launch its new smartwatch, the Watch 3

OnePlus will soon present its new smartwatch OnePlus Watch 3. It is expected to debut alongside the flagship smartphones OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R in the global market. The watch has already appeared in the certification databases of India (BIS) and China (MIIT), which allowed us to learn some key details about the device and its design. Now, the new watch has also appeared in the FCC database, revealing even more details ahead of its launch.

The OnePlus Watch 3 has the model number OPWWE251 and is listed under the «Watches» category on the FCC website. According to the information, its dimensions are 46.6 x 47.6 x 11.75 mm. For comparison, the previous OnePlus Watch 2 model has dimensions of 47 x 46.6 x 12.1 mm, a 46-millimeter case and a 1.43-inch AMOLED display. Thus, the new watch will be slightly thinner than its predecessor.

One of the main updates was a significant increase in the battery. The OnePlus Watch 3 is equipped with a 631 mAh battery (typically 648 mAh), which is a significant improvement over the 500 mAh battery in the Watch 2. This can provide significantly longer battery life. battery life — an important factor for any mobile device.

FCC certification also confirms the presence of various connectivity options, including Bluetooth (BR+EDR+BLE), GNSS, NFC and dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz). At the same time, as in the case of Watch 2, the new model does not support mobile communication.

OnePlus Watch 3 is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear W5 SoC — the same as the predecessor.

In comparison, the OnePlus Watch 2, which debuted in India at a price of $299, had the following key specs:

  • AMOLED display with brightness up to 1000 nits;
  • military security level;
  • water and dust protection according to 5ATM + IP68 standards;
  • support for more than 100 sports modes;
  • snapdragon W5 + BES 2700 dual processor.

The new OnePlus smartwatch is likely to retain these features and also receive additional improvements that will make it even more attractive to users.

OnePlus Watch 3 promises to be a worthy successor to the popular Watch 2 model, offering improved characteristics, a thinner design and greater autonomy. The new product is expected to be an important addition to the OnePlus ecosystem, maintaining a balance between functionality and stylish design.
