The Polish branch of the European aircraft manufacturer Airbus was involved in the production of center sections for the C-295 transport aircraft.
This is reported by the ZBiam publication.
The announcement of the production of center sections by the Polish branch of Airbus was made on December 6, 2024.
The center sections are produced in Warsaw, where the largest Airbus production complex in Poland is located, which is engaged in the production of individual components for aircraft of this companies.
The expansion of fuselage element production is due to a large number of orders for the Spanish C-295M aircraft, which is actively exported to most countries in the world.
The center sections produced in Warsaw will be transferred to a Spanish company, where the final assembly of the aircraft takes place.
As the publication notes, the factories in Warsaw are already responsible for almost 60% of aircraft construction, including wings, cabin, tail section, ramp and doors.
In addition, these enterprises are one of the certified service centers responsible for servicing Airbus aircraft owned by Poland, as well as other users around the world.
