The case of a former journalist from Kropyvnytskyi, who works in the Russian Federation, has been transferred to court

Prosecutors have sent an indictment against a former journalist from Kropyvnytskyi to court. He writes articles for Kremlin publications and justifies armed aggression against Ukraine.

According to the regional prosecutor's office, the man left Kirovohrad region for Russia in 2014. In 2022, he supported the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. In the Kremlin-run online publications “русская народная линия” and “сегодня.ру” He wrote articles such as: “Crimean referendum – 2014 against Ukrainian separatism”, “Carpathorussianism in school textbooks”, “Ukrainians as a political network”.

The former journalist is accused of information activities in cooperation with the aggressor state, aimed at inciting interethnic hatred, as well as recognizing armed aggression as legitimate.

He faces up to 12 years in prison.
