Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has introduced the Barak MX air defense system, which was deployed in Cyprus. It provides protection against a variety of air threats, such as drones, fighter jets, ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as helicopters.
The Barak MX offers three missile options with a range of up to 150 km, vertical launch, integration with modern radars, and a centralized combat control system. This allows the system to simultaneously respond to threats from different directions and in different scenarios.
Cyprus is reportedly not the only one interested in Israeli air defense systems. Greece is also considering the Barak MX as a replacement for its aging HAWK and S-300. This opens up prospects for the creation of an integrated air defense network in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Barak MX symbolizes a new era in defense technologies, providing reliable protection and integration with modern military systems.
