The Security Service of Ukraine detained a 16-year-old Russian agent who spied on the defenders of Chernihiv

The Security Service of Ukraine has detained a 16-year-old resident of Chernihiv who worked as an agent for Russian military intelligence.

The girl helped Russia prepare air strikes on the Chernihiv region. The press service of the SBU reports.

She used a taxi to secretly survey the area and photograph Ukrainian defense facilities. Her task was to find out and transmit to the enemy the coordinates of anti-aircraft missile systems and radars that protect the region. After each trip, she sent information to Russian curators in the form of photographs with precise geolocations.

The SBU exposed the agent during one of her reconnaissance sorties, when she was photographing a defense facility. During the searches, the girl's phone with evidence of her criminal activities was seized.

Now she has been charged with treason and is under arrest. For her actions, she could receive life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
