Those performing this profession can count on a large salary increase.
According to the “Goniec” portal, the budget bill will be read in the Sejm on December 4. The records indicate that in 2025, employees of the public sector can count on a salary increase. Although, as a rule, salaries in this sector will increase by 5 percent, one of the groups representing the budget sector can count on a salary increase of up to 400 percent. Who are we talking about?
A raise in the budget zone
A two-day session of the Sejm began on Wednesday, December 4. One of the items on the agenda concerned the reading of the draft budget act. It assumes salary increases for budget employees. For the entire budget, they will amount to 5 percent. Soldiers will also be able to count on a similar salary increase.
Importantly, for some soldiers the increase will be even higher and will reach 400 percent. This includes soldiers serving on the Polish-Belarusian border, as well as those fighting the effects of the dramatic floods that have hit our country.
The operation codenamed Feniks, which involves helping flood victims, is still ongoing and, as announced by the commander of the formation, Brig. Gen. Krzysztof Stańczyk, will be extended. This means that it will not end at the end of 2024.
Higher pay for soldiers
Soldiers serving on the border with Belarus, as well as those who help remove the effects of the flood, can count on an increase in the daily rate from PLN 45 to PLN 180.
As indicated by the “Goniec” portal, “maintaining the increase in the amount of 400 percent of the allowance applies to the Polloghub Jasionka security soldiers from Rzeszów, the Feniks operation and uniformed officers from the Territorial Defense Forces and other uniformed services involved in helping in crisis situations.” The rest will have to settle for a much smaller increase in their salaries.
