According to Hopkins, 84, the metaverse “offers an incredible opportunity to connect with an audience in a very different way.

“NFT is a blank canvas for creating art in a new format. I'm probably the oldest guy in the NFT community and on social media, which proves that anything is possible at any age,” Hopkins told reporters at an online press conference, writes Variety.

The Eternal Collection digital collectibles are designed to “conceptualise” 10 different character archetypes that Hopkins has portrayed over the course of his career, including Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs and Odin in the three Marvel Thor films.

According to Dave Broome, CEO of Orange Comet, Hopkins NFTs will appear in mid-September at OpenSea, the industry's leading NFT marketplace. A portion of the proceeds from sales will be donated to a charity nominated by Hopkins and his wife, Stella Arroyave.

The NFTs will be released in three phases:

Iconic Category: The only animated NFT to be auctioned off to the highest bidder, including all 10 archetypes (Giver, Hero, Jester, Ruler, Lover, Explorer, Creator, Sage, Rebel and Wizard). The winning bidder will also receive framed NFT art prints autographed by Hopkins, an “intimate lunch/brunch” with the actor, and an autographed copy of Dream Landscapes with hundreds of full color images of Hopkins' paintings and drawings.

Legendary category: 10 unique animated NFTs, each containing a different character archetype. These buyers will also receive a personal conversation with Hopkins (via Discord), as well as framed NFT art prints autographed by Hopkins, and “Dreamscapes” signed by the star.

Outstanding Category: 1,000 unique “from each other” images based on 10 archetypes (100 variations each). Includes an imprint of one of the NFT archetypes autographed by Hopkins. In addition, 39 random buyers will receive “Dreamscapes” autographed, and five buyers will be randomly selected to have a Discord chat with the actor.

Hopkins made his mark as an artist in 2005 with a solo exhibition curated by Harte International Galleries featuring his abstract work.

The NFT project began when Margam Fine Art, Hopkins' only original art management company, approached Orange Comet to introduce his work to the NFT world.

“This relationship is a great symbiosis technology and art from one of the best actors and artists of our time,” said Dave Bruma.

As the editors of ProShoKino said, director James Gray (“Ad Astra”, “We Own the Night”) is shooting a new film “ Time for Armageddon. Gray put together an all-star cast of Oscar winners Anthony Hopkins and Anne Hathaway, Emmy Award-winning Legacy star Jeremy Strong, and Michael Banks newcomers Repeta and Jaylene Webb.
