The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine proved operational information as of 09/03/2023 regarding the Russian invasion.

The p’ one hundred and fifty-seventh day of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against our country.

During the past day, the enemy launched 2 missile and 49 air strikes, carried out 66 attacks from rocket salvo systems on the positions of our troops and settlements. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civil infrastructure were destroyed.

The probability of launching missile and air strikes throughout the territory of Ukraine remains high.

Over the past 24 hours, 30 combat clashes took place.

In the Volyn and Poliske directions the operational situation is without significant changes.

On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directionsthe enemy carried out an airstrike in the Chugunivka area of ​​the Kharkiv region. He carried out mortar and artillery attacks on more than 30 settlements, in particular, Khrinivka, Karpovychi, Leonivka, Grem'yach of the Chernihiv region, Znob-Trubchevska, Kisla Dubina, Kindrativka, Vodolagi, Zapsillia, Tur'ya of the Sumy region, and Verkhnia Pisarivka, Vovchansk, Okhrimivka, Budarky, Hryhorivka of the Kharkiv region.

On the Kup’yan direction, the enemy launched an airstrike in the area of ​​M’yasozharyvka, Luhansk region. Kamianka and Berestov of the Kharkiv region were hit by enemy artillery fire.

In the Lymansky directionthe enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the Novoyehorivka area of ​​the Luhansk region. He carried out airstrikes in the areas of Cherneshchyna of the Kharkiv region, Novoyehorivka and Belogorivka of the Luhansk region, Spirnyi of the Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements were hit by enemy artillery fire, including Makiivka, Nevske, Belogorivka of the Luhansk Region and Hryhorivka, Siversk, Zvanivka, Spirne, Fedorivka, and Rozdolivka of the Donetsk Region.

In the direction of Bakhmutthe enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Khromovoy, Ivanivskyi, Stupochki and Bela Hora of the Donetsk region. More than 20 settlements, including Minkivka, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Chervone, Druzhba, and New York of the Donetsk region, were hit by enemy artillery fire.

In the Avdiivsk directionthe enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area east of Severny, Donetsk region. The enemy shelled more than 10 settlements with artillery, including Nevelske, Severne, Novooleksandrivka, Keramik, Berdychi of the Donetsk region.

In the Mar’ direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area to the south Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region. Fired artillery at more than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Gostre, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka of the Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarsky directionthe enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Vugledar and Staromayorskyi of the Donetsk region. Artillery shelled Vugledar, Novoukrainka, Shakhtarske, Zolota Niva, Urozhaine and Rivnopil of the Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka and Robotyny of the Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 settlements, including Novodarivka, Olhivske, Charivne, Pavlivka, Kamianske, Plavni of the Zaporizhia region and Nikopol of the Dnipropetrovsk region, were hit by enemy artillery fire.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the Odradokamyanka and Olhivka districts of the Kherson region. More than 15 settlements, including Sablukivka, Odradokamyanka, Lviv, Mykilske, Romashkovo, and Veletenske of the Kherson region, were hit by enemy artillery shelling.
