5-Year-Old Girl Hospitalized After Stepfather Put Her Through Hell

Police have arrested a stepfather suspected of beating up his 5-year-old stepdaughter.

As reported by „Super Express”, on Tuesday, January 21, a 5-year-old girl was admitted to one of the hospitals in Gniezno. The child fell victim to her 39-year-old stepfather, who abused the girl in the absence of her mother. The police have arrested the man. The hell he put the child through is beyond belief.

The Gniezno police, under the supervision of the prosecutor's office, have launched an investigation into the beating of a 5-year-old girl. The suspect in the beating of the child is the 39-year-old stepfather. The child was taken to hospital on Tuesday, January 21 in the evening. The man allegedly threw the girl against a wall and hit her with his fists, as well as throwing beer cans at her.

The man also allegedly forced the 5-year-old to eat paper, and when she refused, he drowned her by pouring cold water into her mouth. There is a reasonable suspicion that the girl had been a victim of violence for a long time. She was also clearly neglected, with disheveled hair and long fingernails. Officers also found traces of blood on the wall in the apartment.

According to the findings of „Głos Wielkopolski”, the abuse of the child occurred in the absence of the girl's mother, who was in hospital with her second child at the time. The woman, although she knew about the abuse of her daughter, did not report it, most likely because she was afraid of her partner.

„Tonight (from Tuesday to Wednesday, January 22 – editor's note) a 39-year-old man was detained, suspected of committing an act under art. 207, item 2. He is currently staying in rooms for detained persons” – informed asp. Sztab. Anna Osińska, spokeswoman for the District Police Headquarters in Gniezno, quoted by „Super Express”.

Doctors reported that the 5-year-old girl's life is out of danger.
