5 features that will make the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra the perfect smartphone have been named

Recent leaks and rumors already give a good idea of what the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra might be like, but that's not what we're talking about now. Let's talk about what we really expect from this flagship — the things that could make it the best smartphone you can buy.

What you should know

First, I would like to see 16 GB of RAM in all versions. Samsung will, of course, put a powerful chipset – that's not even discussed. But RAM has become important not only for standard functions, but also for tasks with artificial intelligence. If the Galaxy S25 Ultra is an AI phone, then 16 GB – that's the minimum. Sources say that such a configuration will be available, but probably only in the top versions. We want this to become the standard.

Another desire is a new approach to software. The One UI interface now looks a bit outdated, and even with the update to One UI 7, which is currently being tested, little will change radically. From a flagship of this level, you want more intuitive, modern and easy-to-use software.

But what definitely needs an upgrade is the cameras. In the Galaxy S24 Ultra, they are not bad, but the front, ultra-wide and telephoto cameras clearly lag behind the main one. Rumors say that the ultra-wide can be upgraded to 50 MP, but the rest seems to remain unchanged. This is a bit disappointing, because I would like to see improvements across the board.

Another hope is the return of 10x optical zoom. The 5x zoom that Samsung currently uses is not bad, but it has already become the standard for other manufacturers, such as Google or Apple. The 10x zoom was the feature that distinguished the Ultra models from the competition, and I would like to see it returned.

And finally, charging speed. This is a clear weakness even in the Galaxy S24 Ultra: 45 W for wired charging and 15 W for wireless charging look very modest compared to OnePlus or Xiaomi, whose flagships have long offered 100 W and more. If Samsung does not want to lag behind, the charging speed of the Galaxy S25 Ultra should increase many times. But leaks hint that this may not happen.

These are our expectations. In my opinion, Samsung has a chance to create something truly remarkable if it listens to its users.
