4 out of 10 Ukrainians earn up to 10 thousand hryvnias per month: shocking statistics

56% of respondents consider their earnings insufficient/senivpetro

As of 2024, 31% of Ukrainians earn an average of 10,000 to 20,000 hryvnias. Moreover, more than half of them consider this income insufficient.

This is evidenced by the data of the study conducted by the Gradus company. It was named “Barometer of the quality of life 2024”.

How much do Ukrainians earn on average

As of July 2024, 43% of Ukrainians earn less than 10,000 hryvnias. Please note that in 2023 this indicator was higher – 53%. Approximately 31% earn from 10 to 20 thousand hryvnias, and 21% have an income of more than 20,000 hryvnias.

Note! 53% say that their income has decreased, while 26% have it increased.

Is this income enough to live on

The majority, namely 82% of respondents, believe their income is insufficient for living. In 2024, 15% of respondents indicated that their earnings are more than sufficient; 56% consider it insufficient, and 26% – categorically insufficient.

The average salary for vacancies on Work.ua in May was 20,000 hryvnias, and only in the Dnipropetrovsk region this indicator grew from 19,500 to 20 000 hryvnias.

According to experts' forecasts, in 2025 salaries will exceed the pre-war level. Moreover, they will continue to grow due to the shortage of qualified personnel.
