Less infections in 24 hours than yesterday, but very few less. The curve as usual begins to drop before the weekend. But the scenario gets complicated. There are more regions that have started a regrowth of infections, explains Silvio Brusaferro, president of the ISS, commenting on the latest monitoring that shows the Rt index increased to 0.66 against 0.63 last week. The infection tends to affect more and more the young age, we are talking about a median age of 31 years, for those who contract the infection – specifies Brusaferro -. But also for hospitalizations the age begins to drop: the median age of those who are hospitalized for 52 years. The incidence also rose, from 9 to 11 cases per hundred thousand inhabitants. If this trend continues, we will close at the end of August, says Vincenzo De Luca, the president of Campania. Campania today communicates +226 cases.

Having over 100 new positives are: Lazio (+135 cases with a rate of 0.6%) e Veneto (+106 cases with 0.4% rate.)

** The Friuli Venezia Giulia region announces that 2 cases declared in the previous days have been eliminated from the total of positives (1 as positive in the antigen test but not confirmed by molecular test and 1 positive test removed from a laboratory after review of the case).
