13 people died, over 30 were injured as a result of the collapse of a concrete canopy at the station near Serbia

At the Serbian town of Novi Sad, part of the concrete canopy above the entrance to the railway station has fallen, reports the local news agency Danas.

Behind the chapters and MVS The bodies of 13 people were pulled from the rubble of the Serbian Ivitsi Dacic. The mayor's office reported that more than 30 people were injured as a result of the incident.

The collapse occurred on the first day of leaf fall. There were benches under the canopy of the salvage station, and at the time of the collapse, countless people were sitting on them.

The causes of the tragedy are still unknown. The station is repaired. Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dacic and Prime Minister of Serbia Milos Vucevic arrived at the scene. President Oleksandar Vučić arrived before Novi Sad.

The railway station near Novi Sad (another big city in Serbia – ed.) was built in 1964, and has recently undergone renovations.
