Shia LaBeouf is often considered a totally what the fuck actor. At only 38 years old, the American comedian already has a full career. Transformers, Fury, more recently Megalopolis, the actor has already worked with the greatest. But in addition to his cult roles, Shia LaBeouf is also famous for his eccentricities, for his antics, each crazier than the last, for his madness inside and outside of movie sets. So here are 12 crazy things Shia LaBeouf has done throughout his career:

I Robot, Transformers, Nymphomaniac, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, The Evil Eye, the actor went through all the emotions during this experience entitled All My Movies. And the funniest thing about it all is that Shia LeBeouf filmed himself during the entire test. His reactions were available live on the arty New Hive website. An extraordinary artistic proposition that only Shia LaBeouf could offer.

Realized by Fredrik Bond, the feature film focuses on a young man who, devastated by the death of his mother, leaves the USA to live in Bucharest. There, he falls madly in love with a mysterious young woman who leads him deeper into nightclubs and drug use. To better match his character, Shia LaBeouf took doses of LSD, a powerful hallucinogenic drug, during the filming of the film. The actor would then regularly lose control, too disconnected by powerful hallucinations…

Shia LaBeouf and his car accident

The 12 Times Shia LaBeouf Lost His Mind

In 2008, while he was filming Transformers 2, Shia LaBeouf was involved in a serious car accident. The actor, accompanied by two young women, collided with a truck. His vehicle rolled over several times, and LaBeouf suffered a serious hand injury, which delayed filming on Transformers 2. The actor ended up in police custody and was charged with drunk driving

Shia LaBeouf actually got a full-body tattoo for The Tax Collector

12 Times Shia LaBeouf Fell Out

In 2020, Shia LaBeouf appeared in the film The Tax Collector by David Ayer. In this action thriller, LaBeouf plays a tax collector for a crime boss in Mexico. In the feature film, his character is tattooed from head to toe, especially on his chest, covered in ink. And what did that crazy Shia LaBeouf do? He decided to tattoo himself, for real, all over his body to be closer to his character. And the worst part is that The Tax Collector had a very bad distribution, that few people saw the film and that Shia LaBeouf only has one shirtless scene in the film…David Ayer would however tell Slash Film, about Shia LaBeouf, that:

He is one of the best actors I have worked with, he is very attached to the body and the soul. He had a tooth pulled for Fury, then for The Tax Collector, he had his whole chest tattooed. I don't know anyone who commits themselves as much to their roles.

Shia LaBeouf Appears Totally Naked in a Music Video

Shia LaBeouf participated in an experimental music video by the Icelandic group Sigur Rós. Entitled Fjögur Piano, the video notably features Shia LaBeouf totally naked. In this video, directed by Alma Har'el, we find the actor alternately injured on a bed, blindfolded, or completely naked in front of the camera.

Shia LaBeouf spits on people

In 2014, Shia LaBeouf was arrested while smoking and making insane remarks in a theater,in the middle of a performance. The actor insults the actors on stage, which prompts security to throw him out of the theater. There, he is arrested by the police and decides, without any logic, to spit in the faces of the police officers present.

Shia LaBeouf wears a bag over his head

Having come to present Nymphomaniac at the Berlin Festival, Shia LaBeouf showed up with a bag over his head. In the middle of the parade, the comedian appeared in costume, but with a bag on his head. A paper bag, with an inscription: “I'm not famous anymore”.

Shia Labeouf's anti-Trump portal

In 2017, Shia LaBeouf decided to launch a new social experiment to fight against the presidency of Donald Trump. On the day of Trump's inauguration, the comedian launched a project called He will not divide us . Starting on January 9, 2017, Shia LaBeouf invited all Americans to say the words He will not divide us in front of a camera installed in front of the New York's Museum of the Moving Image. The camera in question was set to run 24 hours a day throughout Trump's term. Unfortunately, things went awry. Quickly, ill-intentioned Americans used this camera to declare obscenities in public. In addition, the He will not divide us projectobviously led to tensions between pro-Trump and anti-Trump supporters. The Museum of the Moving Image then preferred to put an end to the experiment, only one month after its launch:

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

The project presented a serious and permanent danger for the public, the museum team, local residents and local businesses.

The 12 times Shia LaBeouf lost his temper

Ré alisé by David Ayer (him again) in 2014, Furywas a critical and popular success. But, above all, it was a shoot during which Shia LaBeouf simply lost it. To stick as closely as possible to his character, the American actor went over the top. He started by pulling out a tooth. Then, rather than putting on fake scars, LaBeouf mutilated his own face to have real scars. He also refused to take showers during the entire filming. The smell was apparently unbearable inside the tank. A situation that particularly annoyed Brad Pitt. To go even further, Shia LaBeouf spent several months with real soldiers and notably learned to drive a tank. Not bad…

Shia LaBeouf Gets Beaten Up in Front of a Bar

The American actor had a heated argument in front of a bar in Vancouver in 2011. A video even went viral. It shows Shia LaBeouf fighting with several attackers. Friends of the actor intervened to separate the individuals. According to the media TMZ,Shia and his opponent allegedly got into a heated argument inside a bar before being escorted out by bouncers.

Shia LaBeouf Drunk on the Set of Lawless

The 12 times Shia LaBeouf lost his temper

En 2012, Shia LaBeouf takes part in the filming of Lawless by John Hillcoat, a gripping modern western. The story takes place in 1931, and follows the Bondurant family, bootleggers in the midst of Prohibition. At that time, Shia LaBeouf had quit drinking after bar fights and car accidents. However, to fit his character, Shia drank a large amount of mooshine, a very powerful alcohol at 95%that gangsters were consuming in the early 20th century. The problem was that LaBeouf was totally wasted on set, as he explained to the New York Post:

I did it for the movie. I didn't drink outside of filming for no reason. I did it because when I would come on set in the morning, I would have this face and eyes puffy with the drunkenness that I needed, that I couldn't have any other way. I was definitely quite aggressive, not in a weird way, but I don't think she'd ever experienced anything like that.

Shia LaBeouf is referring to his co-star Mia Wasikowska, who didn't appreciate it at all his experience on Lawlessalongside Shia LaBeouf. So much so that the latter tried to leave the set:

She was calling her lawyer, like, “Fucking get me out of here.”

Shia LaBeouf even reportedly knocked out Tom Hardy during an altercation during the filming of the movie. The Bane actor later confirmed this rumor, but he clarified that LaBeouf had taken him by surprise.

The #IAMSORRY performance

It is perhaps, to this day, his biggest madness… In 2014, Shia LaBeouf decided to submit to a courageous and unexpected artistic performance. For 6 days, he decides to remain silent and still, in a small room open to the public, with a bag over his head (the same bag as on the red carpet of the Berlin Festival). Entitled #IAMSORRY, the project was born out of a desire to apologize. Indeed, shortly before, Shia LaBeouf was accused and judged of plagiarism for his short film HowardCantour.com. He allegedly stole a large part of his ideas from the author Daniel Clowes. With #IAMSORRY, Shia LaBeouf decides to self-flagellate.

The 12 times Shia LaBeouf blew a fuse

The concept is simple, you enter a room with Shia LaBeouf, and you can do whatever you want to him. At the entrance to the “exhibition”, you are offered several objects such as a whip, a pink ukulele, a bottle of cologne, an Optimus Prime action figure, a copy of Daniel Clowes' Death Ray, pliers, a bowl of Hershey's Kisses, and a bowl with insults and handwritten messages. Many people came to verify that it was Shia LaBeouf. But things went awry when a woman actually had sex with the actor. The actor remained impassive, motionless, stuck in his role and was therefore raped during this experience. Shia LaBeouf himself returned to this experience:

A woman came with her boyfriend. He stood outside to watch the door. She whipped my legs for ten minutes and then she took off my clothes and started raping me. This happened while hundreds of people were waiting outside. It sucked. Not just for me, but for her boyfriend too. And the worst part was that my girlfriend was in line to come see me because it was Valentine's Day.

Her collaborators later clarified things, including the British artist Luke Turner and Finnish artist Nastja Säde Rönkkö who later posted reactions on Twitter:

From the moment the incident started, we came to put an end to it and make sure this woman left.

A totally crazy experience that only Shia LaBeouf could have led to well…
