The European Union today stands on the threshold of a historic decision to give Ukraine the status of a candidate for accession to the EU. About DW.
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyan, on the way to Poland after her visit to Kiev, said:
I am sure that in 20 years, if we look around ago, we can say that they did it right.
The other day, in Kiev, they spoke with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, to discuss the points in the application for membership. In the wake of the coming season, the European Commission may publish its recommendation about those who would like Ukraine to grant the status of a candidate member of the EU.
Behind these words, the most important thing is to join the summit of the EU with the hearts of the united position, as if reflecting the scale of the historical decision in Ukraine.
